Top Trumps, Politics Today in the USA

Top Trumps is a card game first published in 1978. Each card contains a list of numerical data, and the aim of the game is to compare these values to try to trump and win an opponent’s card. A wide variety of different packs of Top Trumps has been published.

The US Supreme Court has played a real top card in favour of Trump this week with the ruling that former presidents are partially immune from criminal prosecution. The Supreme Court ruled that Trump and future and past presidents get absolute immunity for official acts carried out as a President.

For a country that lives and dies by the rule of law and power and prestige of its own democracy this is the law to end all laws. To say that one man a President of a county has immunity for official acts carried out is bizarre and surely in conflict with the US Constitution principles of governance.

Well Joe Biden is hated by a huge majority and seen as too old to govern again so it looks very much like your going to get Trumped for your next President.

I just hope he throws all his energy into making money out of the system at the expense of the social fabric of the state and showing off about how super he is and playing lots of golf, while he is President and does not do any serious long lasting damage to your constitution and country. The sooner he has departed from the office of president and this earth the better.

If he starts messing with the freedom of press in your country and the ability of truth to flow freely through your society purely for his own gains, ego and political positioning this will be deeply damaging to the state of play of US political institutions and players.

Chinese & Russian political powerbase’s must be expectant and celebrating a potential Trump victory. Trump will try to dismantle NATO and President Putin will continue to disarm and conquer  the Ukraine and China mght well be tempted to take over Taiwan.

The majority of citizens in all countries across the world will be hoping and praying that Trumps actions and inactions will not come back to haunt them.

Living in a country that is hopefully about to come out of some 14 years of Conservative incompetence in governance this week, it will feel more like relief than a celebration and a severely punished conservative party by the electorate, could end up seeing them becoming the third largest party in British politics rather than the largest.

Sadly the US democratic system is institutionally designed for just the worship or support of two parties and even if Trump seriously damages the support for Republicanism, this will likely be a short term problem for Republicans as there is no grass root movement to ever replace them nor is there the will of the people to see them gone.

Everything is not lost, though for one think he is not in power yet and if he comes to power he will also lose it again.

If and when historians look back on Trumps time in and outside of office it will be with great shame and distain and yet in America it appears at present the more that prosecutors reveal about the former president and the more he shouts out that its all lies and their all out to get him like the commies that they are, the more people love and support Trumps point of view over that of members of the judiciary.

I hope and like to think that if this sort of circus had happened in the UK (which to some extent it did with Boris Johnsons proven incompetence at the time of him being in office during Covid-19 that we would have ousted him out of power (which we did, eventually). Where as in America the populace seem to be hell bent on putting Donald Trump back into power. Almost as a means of cutting of your political nose to spite your face.

I sometimes read on WordPress the views of people that at times I have followed their blogs closely or had my blog followed closely by, saying that the lefties are in some way unchristian (verging on satanic at times) to true Christians’, and this form of worship and belief appears to have appeal and widely spread across Christians who are Republicans across the USA and that those that support the left are to belittled and condemned as not true followers of the faith. This to my mind is in fact a most unintelligible or right wing republican indoctrinated position on the teachings of Christ.

I am not even a Christian and yet I have far more faith in the above teachings of Christ than I do a republican in the US today. I love Christ, I accept his teachings as a historical figure, but not as a god or as the son of god. All teachings should be put within the context of the time they were brought into this world and how they can and do impact on a society and a person within that society within the context of today, Christ could not teach on global warming as in the context of his time on earth it did not exist.

To me the ethics of Christ are to say do not exploit the teachings of god as merely a means to make money and cast aside the true meanings of Christ that of love of all and being charitable to your fellow man and women and not casting others aside to suffer for the sake of your own greed and need. Christ is not a Republican and in my mind the USA should not be telling its people they must continue to breed because it is ungodly to have an abortion, even when they cannot afford to raise their next child, or tell the lone gunman to keep buying those guns to go on and kill because it’s a profitable industry of which the death of further citizens, is just a by product of and of course the solution to those deaths is to buy more guns right.

Global warming is bound to be in the line of fire for republican law makers it is just a question of time and money. Republicans seem to vote at the altar money and profitability and greed consistently (described as being ok because it’s a capitalist ethic right) at the expense of even greater suffering and the demise of America as a once great nation, while the world watches on in despair on the side lines. Is the American dream now a long forgotten thing that to many has become a nightmare and like the rise of all great nations such as with the Roman Empire with its eventual decadence and demise is America blindly preparing the foundations for its own fall by re-electing Donald Trump into the White House?

Trump is kind of an odd felon

He deserves to be condemned and convicted by his own words, action and deeds. Though the writing is not on the wall for Trump concerning the first 34 felony counts towards him all relating to hush money payments to three individuals and I am concerned about the over complication of this first case and whether that could lead to Trump being let off the hook.

Make Trump Hate Again

He still thinks he won the last presidential election he desperately tried to steal. I don’t understand the type of rightwing prejudicial Christianity that seems to ebb and flow from in the US then forgives Donald Trump for all his sins and misdemeanours and felonies and yet condemns others not deemed godly enough to be saved under there scorning hate for none fellow believers. It’s one thing to vote Republican and believe that your views on politics respect and reflect the views of Christ, it’s another even great sin to then think that by voting for someone like Trump is in some way a morally righteous and Christian thing to do.

If you see the divine in Trump, what does that say about you?

The man does not understand or express any forms of truth and justice, in the traditional American way although you might often see that many are mistaken for thinking he often thinks that does this.

The world looks on while the USA is split between those that do believe in Trump and those that can not.

A form of patriot game and political positioning that sadly still has quite some way yet to play out. If the story of Trump were a chess game, I’d say Trump still has plenty of pieces left on the board and there is simply no way yet to see how this game will play out or who will lose or how and at what cost too.

Is Trump above the law or is the noose tigtening around his neck?

There is an unprecedented legal case taking place in the USA at present against former President Trump. What the consequences are for him and for the political system of the USA is really yet to play out but it does feel that something huge is potentially about to happen and the politcal phrase if you give someone enough rope they will ultimately hang themselves appears to be relating to Trump at present.

President Trumps legal team are yet again trying to reinvent the rule book of what they can or can’t do by admitting that he did have secret documents and that this is perfectly normal. Well what is normal for trump is not normal for anyone else.

The Republican Party claims to be the party of laws and order so what happens when Trump the poster boy breaks the law of land in the land he aspires to be president again this has consequences. Being popular amongst the people of the states is no defence in the eyes of the law. Republican Senator Lindsay Graham threatens that there will be riots on the street if they try to prosecute Trump for mishandling classified information. So that implies that the rule of law does not apply to Trump.

It is a sad state of affairs in the USA that many people treat their political parties like Europeans treat their football teams, they are deeply faithful to them and believe they must compete to win and nothing but their own team matters and you would never consider supporting the opposition they are the enemy. Though when you put political values into such a context of only supporting one side and considering the opposition to be a traitor to your camp and values this is a toxic way to vote.

It would be more ethical and moral to be voting on who will help the people (or choosing to vote for who will not). It would be more inspiring to be voting for who will help the future of the planet (or who must turn a blind eye to that). But instead people want to aspire to vote for team trump and his lies, misinformation and trash talk while he tries to make himself above your laws.

Fact or Fiction, Truth or lies?

Does Trump have an angel or a devil resting on his shouder- well sadly your view of him might only be shaped by the TV channel you watch or the newspaper you read. It seems free thinking and an ability to interpret truth from lies or fact from fiction are dying arts, well for now anyway.

For many mere mortals living is hard & life is not easy, so when someone is put into a position of power to have a chance of make our lives better, less dangerous or fairer. You hope that they will have the strength of will and ability to do so. But if they make things harder, cost more lives or even sow seeds of doubt into the very systems they were elected to up hold then I tend to judge them harshly. If they make matters worse than prior to when they took up the power of leadership that they had craved then they have surely failed on any measure of what makes them a good leader.

Donald Trump stated on January 6, 2021 in a speech on the Ellipse outside the White House:

“We won. We won in a landslide. This was a landslide.”

  • A crowd of President Donald Trump’s supporters later stormed the U.S. Capitol Jan. 6, wearing and waving Trump-branded paraphernalia and flags as they sought to overturn the election.
  • There is no credible evidence that the crowd was infiltrated or led by antifa activists in disguise. Specific individuals held up online as antifa activists turned out to be Trump supporters.
  • Trump had encouraged his supporters to come to Washington to protest the election. He spoke at a rally hours before the violence erupted and urged those in attendance to march to Congress.

It takes a certain type of leader to have the balls or to be completely incompetence in order to state or preach information that they know not to be true to their supporters knowing that the consequences of what they do will hurt and potential incite violence and bloodshed.

Trump and his minions have continued to do this on such a regular basis that his supporters must not know if they are coming or going. When the people of the land and the courts and political institutions all unanimously agree that Trump has lost the election and Trump has ZERO evidence to the contrary that does not stop him bleating to his supports that he won and it’s all a hoax. What kind of delusion or lack of principles motivates a man to do this?

He damages his countries own political stability and this has also cost many lives. Historians will have a fiercely negative reading of Trump as they learn more of the consequences of what he has done and continue to interpret his so called facts to fiction and truths to lies.  

There is nothing good about Trump, there is nothing theologicaly Christian in his views. Those that perceive him to be some kind of angelic political messiah really need to have a great deal of facts checked and lies revealed to them.

Trump should bare the burden and responsibility of the lies and fiction that he has created about himself, his policies and his lack of principles.

The Gospel According to Trump

Can the USA be a free democratic nation or its President the leader of the free world if its commander in chief can’t even accept he lost an election? He still boasts on Twitter to his adoring fans and voters that he won and they cheated. He does this without producing a shred of evidence for his unstable view points.

It was the right that won it – that’s what Donald Trump would have you believe anyhow.  Sometimes there seems nothing worse in life or politics than a sore loser. Well it turns out there is something worse in a democratic state than a sore loser and that’s an American President that after defeat in an election is still convinced he has won. The amount of people that do not condemn his delusional bubble is just shameful and says a lot about American politics and where it is currently at or has come to.

You know something is broken in the world or in a country when good people vote for bad men and let’s be clear Trump is a very bad man, in deeds as well as words. The US President’s actions have exacerbated the pandemic that has killed more than 200,000 people in the United States, rolled back environmental and public-health regulations and undermined science and scientific institutions. Just because a President sees a quick buck in relaxing laws designed to protect you and your fellow citizens which then might result in more short term profits for big business you should in no way be fooled into thinking that those stock and shares profits are for your benefit.

Over the past eight months, the president of the United States has lied about the dangers posed by the coronavirus and undermined efforts to contain it; he even admitted in an interview to purposefully misrepresenting the viral threat early in the pandemic. Trump has belittled masks and social-distancing requirements while encouraging people to protest against lockdown rules aimed at stopping disease transmission. His administration has undermined, suppressed and censored government scientists working to study the virus and reduce its harm.

When Trump became ill with Covid-19 he had no problems with injecting himself with the most up to date cures known to man. He went on to inject himself with using cells derived from an abortion. There are many in the states that think he is some kind of saviour of the Christian right and king of conception laws, upholder of anti-abortion rights. Stopping people having medical care (of any type come life saving treatment for babies or restrictions on abortion rights for pregnant women).  All of his medical policies are not in any way enacting some kind of greater wisdom or strongly held principled view they are purely cost cutting exercises lapped up by republicans as moral decisions.

I really struggle to wonder what the right hand side of the American electorate really want out of a leader. Say for example all abortions were banned overnight or all immigrants no longer aloud to step one foot in your land. What would the medical, societal and legal consequences be. Would women be locked up for wanting abortions or would thousands of children be placed in orphanages or even sold to the highest bidder. What kind of future would these families or lack of family units have, how does that make it in any way morally the right thing to do?

I live in a society that started a new lockdown on Thursday 5th November 2020, the UK is a democratic nation with a Conservative government and although I don’t support all the policies of my government I am grateful for this lockdown. It will save lives maybe even my own and the lives of my friends and family. Then when the economic tsunami that will also hit our country comes I will hope it will be worth every penny spent to save lives. You can’t rebuild a nation with the bones of your dead, only with the strength and will of those who live through these times will we be able to do that.

Trump has and will continue to do very little in the USA to save, listen to or even now count for or allow to be counted the votes of his fellow American citizens. Trump acts like a child having a tantrum in a china shop that happens to have found and unpinned a hand grenade. I don’t know how long lived his damage will be to the nation of the USA.

‘If you count the legal votes I easily win claims Trump’, this is wrong and an incendiary statement; he’s a PR man of spin and certainly no political statesman of substance. If Trump losses and it looks like the writing is on the ballet wall for him then I will thank god and will also thank the US population that voted for Biden. Trump politically spins circumstances and lies about what he does, he does not have the depth or political know how to shape political circumstances or to unite people.

Trump is a man to slander and stop the other guy or opponent he is not a man of conviction or depth of his own views or others. Apart from dismantling and damaging institutions, laws and rights I really can’t tell you and nether can anyone else what he has built for the USA. Apart from a wall built by and paid for by the Mexicans and even that is a half assed blunder.

I am governed by a conservative government because they won the election and I respect that. If you can’t respect a democratic process then I feel a little sorry for you and the damage that view could do to your country.

So many stupidly horribly wrong things going on in the world at the beating heart of all great powers across the world right now, by allegedly wiser people than us common folk.

Trump in USA is in denial about Covid-19 and still refuses to wear a mask, maybe it will cause his makeup to run. Putin the wannabe Tsar of Russia is busy stitching up, yet more elections for himself, the man is poison. Xi Jinping in China has decided not only is the principle of free speech and democracy no longer relevant to his own citizens in China but it is now decreed that Hong Kong has lost the right to free speech, self determination and other vaules that make us mere mortals feel safe to sleep at night.

I sometimes fear or question Gods sincerity towards us puny humans. Or think that he has a deeply wicked sense of humour with which humanity is either the butt of the joke or the punch line. My point being Putin and Xi ridicule democracy as a failed way of working because the result being you get a Donald Trump in power a TV host who has now gotten so board of the job of President even he has now stopped reading his own tweets due to the piss poor job he is doing.

Putin on the other hand is a state sponsored gangster. He knows he is a hardcore fucknutt who cares about no one but himself and how long he can personally stay in power. His so called democracy is a sham. He knows it, we know it and those that vote for him know in to power know it to. He genuinely gives the impression that he is holding on long enough for the Russian state to invent immortality for their Russian Puttiny Tsar. Once he declares himself immortal he will probably decide that even then Russia no longer needs to believe in democratic rule of law either. There is no line Putin won’t cross no, no deed he won’t do in order to remain in power. The recent reports of the Russian state sanctioning paying of the Taliban in order to kill US soldiers is only one example of the depravity of the man that is Putin.

Xi Jinping has also from today decreed that anyone in Honk Kong wishing to advocate through peaceful process the right to have democracy and free rule from China is now likely to risk being sentenced to life in prison. What an absolute bastard of a man. The amount of so called well educated state apologists actually having the gaul to stand up and defend this nonsense on TV today was astonishing.

So these three super powered stooges are the most powerful humans on earth with a trigger happy finger on a nuclear button. I hold more compassion in my little finger than they have shown to their fellow citizens since the time they came to office. The Self-interest that existed within these three souls on this earth who though marked for greatness in the eyes of our world and for the potential good they could do for all because of the positions of power and responsibility that they find themselves occupying is simply squandered and wasted in their hands and their ancestors must be turning over in their graves. Like I said near the beginning of this little post God must have a wicked sense of humour!

He shat on every policy that he touches and there are a lot that he touches. When it comes to all ready enacted health and environmental legislation he looks to just take it apart causing a great deal of damage and suffering in the short to medium term. If you are not already aware of the damage this man’s rolling back of policies is doing to your great country and the rest of the world then start educating yourself today.

He fcuk’s over the environment and for that alone is a turd stain on the history books of humanity. He could not make any more damaging enactments of policy to humanity and your land and sea even if he tried and boy has this shit stain tied.

I cannot stress this enough as a lover of policy and politics and the study thereof, just how damaging this man and his polices is and will continue to be for generations. How has being a supporter and voting for this man improved your quality of life what has he done that makes you jump up and say thank God Trump is in office today.

To vote this Pant stain on the trousers of humanity once, is to be fair an embarrassing mistake but for God and heaven and hells sake, please don’t even consider this moron for a second term.

How people voted in the past is now the past but please don’t vote for this very bad man again. Ask not what he will do for you but how much he will fuck up your country and with course an effect the whole dam world will feel the ripples of (not in a good way either).
